Emergency Transmit Guide

SHOULD YOUR CHILD BECOME LOST OR MISSING, FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO ISSUE AN EMERGENCY ALERT:

Always Dial 911 First

  1. Call 911, notify local Law Enforcement.
  2. Call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 800-843-5678 to open a case number. Please record your case number.
  3. Print your child's profile using the print button on the right menu. Have this ready for the police.
  4. Click the red Emergency button on the left side of the screen, or use the Emergency Alert option under the Actions menu.

  5. Click OK on the Application Warning.

  6. Follow the steps on the screen.
  7. Click the Transmit Data button.
  8. Select the alerts to initiate and enter the appropriate data (local law enforcement email address and/or NA NCMEC Case Number).

  9. Click Continue.
  10. Click Browse… and select the ChildInfo.zip file located on your Desktop.

  11. Click Initiate Alert button.
