I. Protecting Your Privacy

The life-prints.com website is maintained by Life-Prints Solutions, LLC (“Life-Prints”). Our website is designed to provide access to services, products, information, and community offerings relating to children safety, with a unique focus on making available to parents, educators, and child advocacy groups state of the art technology for use in emergency situations in order to provide law enforcement and missing persons authorities with critical identity information to assist in locating missing persons. Life-Prints recognizes the vital importance of protecting the privacy rights of our users. Any information which you provide on this website is securely managed and safeguarded in accordance with the guidelines set forth by this Privacy Policy. Life-Prints is also a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program

This website contains links to other entities and these links may change from time to time. If a user clicks a hypertext link that takes you to a website outside of Life-Prints.com, we are not responsible for its privacy policy or information collection practices and uses. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of entities or individuals that are not under Life-Prints supervisory control.

II. Collection and Use of Personal Information

Creation of a User Account will be necessary in order to register for services, purchase Life-Prints Digital Child Protection ID System or other products or to enroll a child for a Life-Prints ID Event. Creation of a User Account by a parent or guardian requires the collection of personally identifiable information such as full name, address, telephone number, email address and account payment information that is voluntarily provided by the user. No child identification information is collected upon initial registration except Account User’s relationship to child. Life-Prints only uses information personally volunteered by an Account User. No supplemental personal information is acquired from third parties.

An Account User’s email address and other personally identifiable information collected are used only by Life-Print’s authorized personnel for purposes of completing registration and fulfillment of the requested services. Life-Prints may also communicate with you via your email address to offer you software updates, services, products news letters and other information relating to child safety and protection. In order to provide you expanded services and information, Life-Prints may share your email address with Life-Prints partners.

Opt-out provision: When you initially register on the Life-Prints website you will have the option to refuse future receipt of communications via your registered email address. If you receive such communications via email, you may remove your email address from Life-Prints registry by contacting us at support@life-prints.com

Service Provider: Life-Prints may use a credit card processing company to bill Account Users for products and services. The companies Life-Prints uses for these purposes do not share or use personally identifiable information for secondary purposes.

Cookies: A cookie is a small text file which gives a user a unique ID upon visiting a website and which file resides on the user’s computer. This unique ID enables recognition of the user on a subsequent visit to the website and may indicate prior user preferences on the website or may facilitate browsing. The Life-Prints website currently does not utilize user cookies.

Traffic monitoring: Many websites utilize programs to automatically monitor visitors to the site and collect information such as frequency of visits to the website, number of visitors, length of visit, etc. Life-Prints does not currently utilize traffic monitoring technology.

III. Encryption

Life-Prints takes utmost care in protecting all personally identifiable information collected and in providing secure transmission of User Account information from your computer to our servers. All pages in which data is collected (creation of User Account, enrollment, registration, credit card information submission, etc.) are protected with industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Notwithstanding our best efforts, however, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

All user accounts are password protected. It is the user’s responsibility to safeguard his or her username and password. Please do not share your username or password with any other person.

IV. Life-Prints Does Not Share Personal Information With Other Entities

Life-Prints does not sell, rent, share or disclose personally identifiable information of either User Account information OR child identification information to any individual, business or government entity, unless required to respond to court order, subpoena or other legal process.

Parents or guardians who purchase a Life-Prints Digital Child Protection ID System will have the ability to store their child’s personally identifiable information on their own computer and transmit said information via the internet from their own computer. Child identification information is never transmitted from the Life-Prints website, except as necessary to enroll a child for a Life-Prints ID Event at the request of a parent or guardian and as governed by the Parent/Legal Guardian Authorization & Certification.

V. Business Transitions

In the event Life-Prints Solutions, LLC goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via email and/or prominent notice on our website for 30 days of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

VI. Registration of Child Identification

Acceptance of the Parent/Legal Guardian Authorization & Certification is required prior to the enrollment of a child for a Life-Prints ID Event. At such event, Life-Prints may capture identification information such as a photograph and fingerprints, as requested by parent/legal guardian, and only for the purpose of providing parent/legal guardian with the Life-Prints Digital Child Protection ID System. For the utmost in privacy protection, Life-Prints retains captured identification data only for a limited time period after a Life-Prints ID Event. Life-Prints does not sell, rent, share or disclose any child identification information to any individual, business or government entity, unless required to respond to court order, subpoena or other legal process.

No child identification information will be available on-line. Life-Prints does not permit the on-line distribution of child identification information in any manner (such as through message boards or chat rooms). Life-Prints strictly prohibits the use of games, prizes, site access requirements or other enticements which may encourage users to divulge more personal information than is reasonably necessary for on-line registration.

In order to provide the highest level of privacy for your child’s personally identifiable identity information, no child identification information will be accessible on-line, subsequent to submission of such information for Life-Print ID event enrollment purposes. Parents/legal guardians will only have access on line to their User Account information, which will be secured and password protected.

VII. Accessing and Changing Your Information

You can review your User Account personal information and make any desired changes to such information at any time by logging in to your User Account and following the prompts. You may also close your User Account at any time at which point it is placed in an inactive account status. Life-Prints will retain your User Account information for purposes of resolving disputes or enforcing agreements. Personally identifiable identity information of children is not retained.

VIII. Amendments

In our attempts to serve you better, and with the recognition that internet technologies evolve rapidly, Life-Prints reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Minor changes will be immediately effective upon Life-Prints’ reposting of this Privacy Policy on the Life-Prints website. If we should make material changes to privacy aspects of handling personal information, we will make every effort to notify you directly via email in addition to the reposting of the Privacy Policy.
