Protection education - kid safety pages

Kid Safety Program

The heart of any kid safety program is information and education. Being properly equipped with the right knowledge and advice on how to act with that knowledge is the first step in keeping our children safe.

Life-Prints main focus is to provide parents and children with as much information as possible to keep children safe. That's why we put so much effort into cooperating with other agencies and organizations so that we can act as a clearinghouse for that vital consumer education. Our links page and programs page both include links to a variety of different types of kid safety pages from various agencies that we know will provide families with advice they can use. We also provide the ability to search more than 600 Child Child Advocacy Agencies by multiple factors including Zip Code and we provide maps to many of them. The following examples include sites with information about keeping kids safe on the Internet and in the "real world."

  • Government - D.A.R.E, FBI and numerous public library, school district and police agencies
  • Private - NCMEC, the Polly Klaas Foundation, Girl Scouts and other children's groups
  • Parent-centered - Netmom.com, Cyber Angels, National PTA and others
  • Child-focused - Warner Bros. Kids, PBS Kids, Safety Tips for Teens (link to NCMEC page)
  • International - BBC UK Stay Safe, Safe Kids Worldwide, BBC-One Life-Stay Safe
